A collection of short plays will be performed on Portland.

The Royal Manor Theatre on Portland presents 'Shorts' from Thursday, June 9 to Saturday, June 11.

Various authors and artists will be performing a collection of silly, sublime, thoughtful and downright bizarre plays written by local creatives and launched at you from the stage of this cosy theatre.

The plays on offer will include the story of a local inventor coming up with a piece of sportswear that will revolutionise sport, and hopefully win the hand of his love and in a sleepy suburban town a sleazy politician is forced to apologise for the most heinous of crimes.

Anyone who enjoyed the theatre's Fifteen Minutes collection would enjoy this.

The performances will begin at 7.30pm each night. Tickets cost £8. They can be bought at www.ticketsource.co.uk/royalmanortheatre/e-lpdaze
