SWANAGE and Wareham rugby club is to fit solar panels at its clubhouse off North Bestwall Road, Wareham.
The club has been given consent by Dorset Council to also take up the existing access road, widen it and fit additional passing bays.

The application said that the work will involve removing the existing asbestos sheet roofing prior to the solar panels being fitted. There are no other external changes to the building and the application had the support of Wareham Town Council, with no public comments.
Dorset Council say there will be no material changes or impact to the surrounding area as a result of the alterations and the changes to the road are only minor.
