New Hardy Players are hosting Poetry at Max Gate.
The event takes place on the entertainment lawn on June 28 at 4.15pm.
A spokesperson for the Players said: "Our third poetry session 'Fieldwork and Festivities' programme includes the lives of agricultural workers who brought food to table and the festivities that brightened their year, told in poetry, story and song.
"Please bring your own chair or blanket, you can bring a picnic too and enjoy the lovely Max Gate gardens."
Gate opens at 4pm. Entry £3 per person.
