A BIN was on fire on Weymouth's seafront believed to be from a lit cigarette.
A fire crew was called to The Esplanade, next to the Jubilee Clock, in Weymouth during the evening on Saturday (June 11).
Once on scene, the crew found a fire inside one of the bins on the seafront. One team member said they believed the fire to be caused by a cigarette which was not put out properly.
A spokeswoman from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire Rescue Service said: "One crew from Weymouth attended the Esplanade at 8.12pm on Saturday after smoke was seen coming from a bin.
"The small fire was quickly dealt with and the stop was at 8.22pm."
