Youth theatre performers are gearing up for some gripping summer productions.

Dorchester Youth Theatre's junior and young companies will perform a double bill at the Corn Exchange in Dorchester on Thursday, June 23 and Friday, June 24 with Our Teacher's a Troll and Aesop's Fables. The on-stage action begins at 6.30pm.

The performance company will be on stage with When They Go Low on Thursday, July 7 and Friday, July 8 at the same venue at 7.30pm. Tickets for all the above performances cost £7.50 for adults or £4 for under 18s.

To book to watch these performances, call 01305 266926 or visit the website www.dorchesterarts.org.uk/whats-on/

The performances come after the senior company took its production of The Ramanaya Reset to the Lighthouse, Poole as part of the UK wide National Theatre Connections Youth Festival.

This was initially performed in Dorchester in April.

In August the group will once again be running its annual performance in a week - SummerMT@DYT - where it brings together up to 40 young people aged from 10 to18 years together to create a show in a week.

This has run successfully for many years and is about fun, making friendships and trying new skills. Participants do not need to have performed before and it's open to everyone, not just DYT members. For more details, contact Jo on 07795 262505.
