FOOD and drink from around the world and live music will be on offer when Upton House Food and Drink Festival takes place this weekend.

The event, which runs at Upton Country Park between Friday, June 24 and Sunday, June 26, will feature an array of international street food, as well as gin and craft beer bars, arts and crafts, and fun for children.

There's also entertainment on two stages one featuring regional produce in the hands of chefs hosting cooking shows and demonstrations, the other a host of performers including tributes to David Bowie, U2, Arctic Monkeys, and Madness.

The music line-up also features homegrown Dorset artists with party starters Mother Ukers, Rat Race and Jimmy Hillbillies, as well as singer songwriter Carley Varley and the highly rated Mischa & His Merry Men.

With two sessions a day at 11am and 5pm (4.30pm on Sunday), tickets are £3 for adults, £1.50 for children and £7 for families for each session.

Those who want to stay all day should book both sessions and will be issued with a wristband so they don't need to leave between sessions.

Pre-paid on-site parking is available and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
