A MAN wearing a pink cowboy hat was arrested on Weymouth's seafront.

Today (June 22), police were called to The Esplanade after reports of a man wearing a pink cowboy hat was causing a disturbance.

Police said once located, the man was arrested for reportedly being 'drunk and disorderly' in a public place.

A spokesman from Dorset Police said: "Neighbourhood and response officers were deployed to the area of The Esplanade this afternoon after we received a number of reports of a male who was wearing a pink cowboy hat causing a disturbance.

"After an initial search of the area the male was located and arrested for Drunk and Disorderly and Public Order offences.

"The male is now in custody and is assisting with our enquiries."
