I have just passed the parking area outside Weymouth’s railway station and watched the erection of railings opposite the entrance to the bus station.

The pavement along that section has been left so narrow that it will almost certainly force pedestrians to step into the road.

This is an important walkway from the Swannery car park and to have such a narrow pavement seems ludicrous and dangerous – especially when the remaining pavement past the station is so open.
