A SHOPLIFTER was issued with a dispersal notice ealier today after being detained by security staff.
Officers from Weymouth & Portland Police attended the incident after receiving reports of a shoplifter near to Commercial Road in Weymouth.
The stolen items were recovered and the suspect issued with a Section 35 dispersal notice which prevents them from being in Weymouth town centre for the rest of the day
A spokesperson for Weymouth & Portland Police said the suspect would be dealt with "at a later date" once all of the evidence had been obtained.
