Dorset Rock Choir is holding three concerts across two days in the county to raise money for the British Red Cross Society's Ukraine appeal.

The first two concerts take place on Thursday, June 30, with the first held at the United Church in Dorchester from midday to 1pm.

The set list will include songs from the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire, Simon & Garfunkel, Jess Glyn, James Bay and Meatloaf.

Also on Thursday, June 30, the choir is holding a concert at St John's Church, Weymouth, from 8pm to 9pm.

The following day, Friday, July 1, they will be singing at St Mary's Catholic Church in Poole from 8pm to 9pm.

The concerts are free to attend but there's a retiring donation for the charity via cash or card.

Local Rock Choir Leader, Stacey Hobday, said: “As a choir we love to perform, if we can fundraise at the same time then that makes it all the more wonderful. Watching the crisis in Ukraine unfold via the media has been harrowing and to be able to contribute something, however small, to the ongoing efforts feels important to both me and the choir. We want to stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and use our voices to lift the spirits of our local community at the same time.”
