AN application to change the outside area at the Fox & Hounds pubs at Canford Bottom has been withdrawn.
Brewers Greene King made the original planning request to Dorset Council in February but have now asked for it to be removed from the system.
It had asked to update the pub’s outside area, including adding a new pergola, landscaping and lighting, and extending the existing bar cabin. The refurbishment of the bar and interior public areas was also planned as part of the works.
The application at the grade 2 listed building included proposals for a large external fireplace with log storage areas and an external cooking space.
Comments on the application remained open until mid-March and although the Dorset Council planning website shows that two statutory responses were received it does not say what they said and they are not shown as available to view. There is no mention of any public comments on the application.
The latest planning update shows that the application has been withdrawn but does not say why.
