Want to help save lives across Weymouth and further afield? Here's how
A LIFE-SAVING emergency service is urging people to give a helping hand in the Weymouth and surrounding area.
The Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA) is bidding for new volunteers to step forward to help cover the Weymouth and Portland area - as well as further afield.
The DSAA operates 19 hours a day (7am to 2am) providing a critical care service, using its AgustaWestland 169 (AW169) helicopter and critical care car.
A spokesman from the DSAA, said: "We also provide an enhanced care service using our outreach car in Dorset from 10.00am – 10.00pm, whilst working towards providing a seven-day per week service in Somerset for 2022."
