DORSET Police Traffic Unit reported "disappointment" yesterday after discovering a range of offences.
A motorcyclist was stopped in Puddletown after being clocked travelling at 93mph - well in excess of the national speed limit.
A spokesperson for Dorset Travel Cops said: "The rider was out for pleasure but, as a vulnerable road user, was likely to endure some physical pain riding at this pace.
"The rider was reported and given some advice to keep them safe."
Officers also discovered a vehicle in Dorchester town centre with "a tyre well on its way to being flat".
The three other tyres were found to have large patches of tread missing and cords exposed... but the driver of the vehicle had a lucky escape as they'd been stopped outside a tyre shop!
