A group which campaigns to improve safe accessibility to goods, services and the environment generally for people with disabilities is meeting tomorrow as part of a 'recovery plan'.
Weymouth and Portland Access Group, which represents the areas of Weymouth, Portland and Chickerell, was hit hard during the pandemic - but members are meeting up again to discuss how the group can continue its important work and grow in the future.
President Mike Kelly said: "We want to recover and reinforce our efforts. We are grateful for the particular support of Weymouth Town Council, Portland Town Council, and Dorset Volunteer Centre in this respect. We are also maintaining channels of communication with Dorset Council and Chickerell Town Council in these difficult times for everyone."
The group will meet at the Portland Community Centre in Three Yards Close, off Clovens Road, on Wednesday, July 13 from 10am-noon.
If anyone is unable to attend but wishes to contact the group email Mike Kelly at mikekelly13@btinternet.com
