DORCHESTER Arts’ favourite fundraising event is returning this Sunday (July 31) with an afternoon of quirky music and comedy.

The annual event is held in the barn at Whitcombe Manor - home of crime writer Minette Walters.

This year the Summer Sunday fundraiser will have entertainment courtesy of Rainer Hersch - billed as a “hilarious, multi-talented conductor and musician who has performed on every major comedy stage in Britain and abroad.”

The afternoon starts at midday when the gates open for an al fresco lunch and glass of bubbly with Rainer Hersch taking to the stage (well, barn) at 1pm.

Tickets cost £30 and can currently be purchased online or by telephone but, please note, that the outdoor performance will go ahead come rain or shine.
