The Weymouth Food Festival is the perfect event for food lovers who can try and buy from an incredible range of local and regional products.

Brave visitors can test their taste buds during a Chilli Challenge Competition that isn't for the faint hearted and is set to deliver some hilarious entertainment.

What's more the other food challenges offers something for foodies to enter or observe.

For those who enjoy a tipple or two, the beer festival from Downton Brewery is the perfect place to indulge, with an excellent array of real ales along with wines, spirits and lagers too. The festival will also feature an inflatable pub, not to mention the authentic cider bar.

Live music will provide a great backdrop during the festival, with performances from local bands in the dedicated stage area.

Cooking demonstrations will provide some delicious inspiration for budding chefs, welcoming Chilli Olly and special guests for the occasion.

The festival was first held last year and went down a storm with around 3,000 people attending on each day.

It is organised by Simon Stewart and Venetia Randall. Simon is the organiser of the Cheese & Chilli Festivals and Venetia was the organiser of Weymouth’s Party in the Park from 2015-2019.

Together they have a wealth of experience running events and they promise to bring a festival that will offer the family a great day out at an affordable price.

It runs from 10am-7.30pm today and 10am-5pm tomorrow.

Tickets are £6 for adults each day and £3 for children. Weekend tickets and concessions also available.
