A man has suffered a broken jaw after being struck over the head and being thrown over railings.
The incident took place at around 8.45pm on Wednesday, August 3 at an address in Dorset Close.
A 46 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to a broken jaw and lacerations to his head.
It is reported that a man had been struck over the head with a bottle inside the property and then thrown over some railings outside.
Detectives investigating are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Detectives Constable Neil Hooker, of Weymouth CID, said: “We are investigating this incident and I am appealing to any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.
“I would also urge residents in the area with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras, as well as any motorists with dashcam who were in the vicinity, to please check their footage from around the relevant time to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.”
