THREE new volunteer officers are working alongside police to tackle rural crime in the county.
The Dorset Police Rural Crime Team said they are delighted to welcome three new special constables to the family.
The team say that the recruitment demonstrates its commitment and determination to fight rural crime as it strives to make Dorset the safest county.
Acting Inspector Lee Turner said: “I am incredibly happy to welcome Jon, Nathan and Dave to the team. These additional officers will enhance our capability in tackling crime across Dorset’s rural communities. The relentless pursuit of criminality and putting victims first is at the heart of what we do.”
Deputy Chief Officer Antony Streets of the Dorset Police Special Constabulary said: “Embedding our Special Constables within this team will assist in providing exceptional local policing across our rural communities. I am very proud to support this historic initiative in Dorset as we look to embed Special Constables across the Dorset Police family.”
