A motorcyclist attempted to evade police by hiding in a hedge...
It was one of a number of incidents that kept officers busy last night in Dorchester.
Officers reported "plenty of stops... including many speeding through Holywell on the A37".
A taxi driver was stopped after being clocked at 86mph in a 60mph zone: he had a passenger on board and, to make matters worse, has been un-taxed since December.
He was reported to court and the DVLA.
Police arrested a man for drug driving with two teenagers also in the vehicle: he has been released pending results of the drug test.
And a motorcycle was seized for not having any insurance. Police had initially lost sight of the bike and, once locating it, saw that there was no driver.
Officers soon located the rider hiding in a hedge and they were reported to court, along with the passenger, for multiple offences.
