‘Making memories to last a lifetime’ at the Dorset campsite providing free holidays for local underprivileged families.

Upon the launch of the ‘Ewenited at Eweleaze’ initiative at Eweleaze Farm, positive feedback has been flooding in.

The scheme was the idea of Weymouth woman Kim Fudge who after staying at Eweleaze herself, wanted other families to be able to experience what the campsite had to offer, she approached owner, Peter Broatch and the idea was born.

Ms Fudge said: “Twelve months ago, an idea was placed on my heart and with amazing generosity and support from Peter, Georgie and Amie at Eweleaze, this idea became a reality, what followed was a true coming together of community spirit and teamwork.

“The families seem to really be enjoying their time at Eweleaze and we have had some lovely feedback – ‘Making memories to last a lifetime.’

“Of course Peter is the main person behind this, and without his generosity we wouldn’t be doing what we are now.”

The project has seen support from plenty of local businesses including Weyline Taxi’s, Fish n’ Fritz and Camping Corner, and £650 of donations have been received from well-wishers wanting to offer their support.

Peter Broatch, owner of Eweleaze said: “We wanted to give something back to the local community.

“We have had some great feedback and people have said how much they appreciated it and how much of a difference it has made to them.”

“We would like to be able to run it next year, but we’re taking it one year at a time.”

Ewenited at Eweleaze have also designed a calendar put together by Damian of Print Team (Dorset) Ltd, which is sponsored by Palmers Brewery, Charlotte Beare Art and Matt Maton Design, Ewenited bracelets have also been created to raise money.
