During this most exceptional heatwave where most if not all of our land lies baron and tinder dry – where we are all on the verge of a drought with water shortage and the call for hosepipe ban –how on earth can the ludicrous idea of still allowing people to have private firework displays, especially rockets be allowed to continue?

Most countries, like in certain parts of USA and Australia where constant hot climates create devastating fires and destruction of homes, would never believe the way we are carrying on allowing burning rockets to be sent anywhere up into our skies.

In Australia alone nobody throws out a burning cigarette whilst travelling through the forests.

A firework rocket going up into the sky where nobody knows or even cares where it lands is far more hazardous, so a temporary restriction should be held during these dry hot months.
