SILVER items were reportedly stolen after a group of five entered a self-storage facility in Poole.

Between 1.30am and 4.20am on Monday, August 15, a group of five people entered Avon Self Storage in Dalling Road and forced open four containers.

It is believed a quantity of silver items were stolen.

Officers investigating the burglary have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify in connection with the incident.

Police Constable Jack Honnywill, of Poole Police, said: “An investigation is underway into this incident and I would urge anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please come forward.

“As part of my enquiries, I am issuing a CCTV image of a man I would like to identify and would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.

“I appreciate the image is not of the best quality, but I am hoping someone may recognise him from his build or clothing.
