A woman had to be airlifted to hospital after an adverse reaction to being stung by a jellyfish.
Wyke Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked to the incident at 6.05pm on Saturday (August 27) along with crews from both Lulworth and Kimmeridge CRT.
The woman had been stung by a jellyfish at St Oswalds Bay, near Lulworth, and began to feel unwell.
With her situation deteriorating, Weymouth RNLI launched an in-shore lifeboat to provide care and a quicker evacuation from the remote location.
A coastguard helicopter was launched from Lee-on-Solent and airlifted the casualty to Dorset County Hospital, in Dorchester.
A spokesperson for Wyke Coastguard Rescue Team said: "At 1805 we were tasked to assist Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team & Kimmeridge Coastguard, this time it was St Oswalds Bay.
"A female was feeling unwell after being stung by a jelly fish.
"Those first on scene including Lulworths first responded gave casualty care.
"Thanks to the wedding party who cleared tables and chairs from the perimeter of the rugby pitch for their patience whilst we transfered the casualty to the awaiting ambulance."
