A PARKRUN event in Poundbury is to be cancelled for a second time after the Queen's death following advice from The Duchy.

The Great Field Parkrun was cancelled on September 10, following the news of Queen Elizabeth's death last week.

The parkrun which was due to take place on Saturday, September 17, has now also been cancelled.

Organisers said that they liaised with the Duchy of Cornwall Estate to make the decision as the land used for the event is owned by them.

A spokesman said: "We will be back on Saturday, September 24, and look forward to seeing you all again. Thank you again for your understanding and support."
