NEW research has revealed that 41 homes with a DT postcode were sold for over £1 million over the past year.

With sale prices reaching as high as £3.5 million, the area is positioned as number 61 across England, Wales and Scotland as having the most amount sales over the £1 million price point.

The research from Property Solvers found that from September 2021- September 2022 some of the most expensive houses sold in Dorset were at Church Farm, Hilfield, Dorchester at £3.5 million, in Bowleaze Coveway, Weymouth at £1.7 million as well as in Manston near Sturminster Newton at £2.35 million.

Using HM Land Registry sold house price statistics, the home buying company and local auctioneer reported the total value of these sales arrived at £57,632,750. Relative to the same period in 2020-21, this represented a decrease of 15% from £66.70 million.
