A cinema in Dorchester is hosting a free screening of the Queen's funeral.

Plaza Cinema on Trinity Street has announced that on Monday, September 19, it will be screening Queen Elizabeth's funeral in its auditorium.

The cinema warned that seating for the screening was limited and has said that tickets must be collected from the Box Office.

A spokesman for Plaza Cinema said: "On Monday 19th September we shall be joining with our other Picturedrome Cinema sites to screen the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in our auditorium.

"The screening will be FREE to anyone who wishes to come along and join us, but seating is limited so tickets must be collected - free of charge - from our Box Office team.

"If we fill the screen to capacity we shall set up a waiting list and kindly ask anyone who does have tickets that won’t be used, to contact the box office so that we can pass them on. All are welcome - especially those who may have been expecting to be alone on this sad day.

"A limited offering of refreshments will be available from the team on the day.

"In the lead up to the funeral we have also added in a two minute period of reflection ahead of our final films of the day, we thank those that have respected this so far and those who will be visiting in the next few days."
