A HOSPITAL has said it is finalising arrangements after the Queen's funeral was announced in the event that appointments are changed.
Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester has said it will contact with any patients who's appointments have changed directly.
NHS Dorset has said that some GP practices in the county will be closed for appointments on September 19 and is asking resident to visit their practice website to find out if they are affected.
A spokesman for the Dorset County Hospital Foundation Trust said: "We are finalising arrangements for Monday (19 September), following the announcement that the Queen’s state funeral will be a bank holiday. If there are any changes to patient appointments, we will be in direct contact with the patients affected. If you do not hear from us, please assume that your scheduled appointment is going ahead as planned.
"If you have an appointment scheduled for Monday but no longer wish to attend, please let us know as soon as possible using the contact details on your appointment letter.
"Thank you for bearing with us while we work through these arrangements."
