An exhibition showcasing the work of community mental health artists is to go on display at a museum in Dorset.
Shire Hall Museum, Dorchester, will host the unique Coming Out of My Shell art exhibition from Monday, September 26 to Saturday, October 1.
Organised by Dorset HealthCare’s Weymouth & Portland Community Health Team (CMHT) this is the brainchild of community support worker Jonai Da Silva who has long recognised hidden artistic talents in his clients.
The event is supported by Humphries Kirk Solicitors with the artwork being created by Dorset Community Mental Health Artists.
The exhibition will be full of paintings, drawings, poetry and music pieces. And in some cases will include accompanying text from the artist explaining the inspiration behind the work and the benefits art can bring.
Coming out of My Shell will run from September 26 to October 1: viewing is included with your entry ticket to the Shire Hall Museum.
