A Harry Potter actor will be holding a workshop for young people looking to flex their literary muscles.

The workshop 'Writing Out Loud' is for those aged 11 and up. It will be held at the Dorchester Library and Learning Centre on Saturday, October 22 from 1pm to 2.30pm. It is free to attend but spots can be reserved on Eventbrite.

The workshop will be led by Rohan Gotobed who played young Sirius Black in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and is now a director and writer.

He will lead games and exercises based around taking inspiration from the surrounding world, especially Dorset’s rich landscape.

The workshop aims to inspire attendants to create poetry and stories by discussing images representing different places around Dorset. Pieces will then be read out, with advice on how to perform to an audience.
