THIS is a show you cannot afford to miss, this celebration of the most talented troupe of young performers on stage that Dorset has ever enjoyed.

They sing, they dance, they give all their energy and love to their audiences in a show that is full of past memories as well as fresh ideas and new routines.

Formed from a modest wish by children who had appeared in a production of Oliver by the Weymouth Operatic Society, the concept of a young people’s group has grown to its present lofty status and this production proves its worth as a very valuable asset to the town and its people.

The cast of 30 youngsters reminded the audience of shows like Cabaret, Mary Poppins and Guys and Dolls as they sang and danced to live music hits from the past that are still full of style and substance.

Under the expert direction and experience of the show’s creator Martine Burt, the young performers brought to life the colour and rhythm of top hit songs like We Will Rock You and The Old Bamboo, all performed without any scenery or sets onstage, none of which were needed or missed.

A live band of six musicians under the leadership of Nikki Budd brought an amazing life to the show, were there really only six of them that gave so much feeling and beautiful sound to this stunning show?

The production continues for the rest of the week which includes a matinee on Saturday and it is already time to take note that WOWs next show, Jamie, opens on April 5.
