An England international has spoken about his memories of the 2018 World Cup just four years ago - watching from a fan zone in Weymouth.
Arsenal and England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale spoke about the contrast between his World Cup experience in 2018, to travelling with the Three Lions in 2022.
In 2018 Ramsdale was just 20 years old playing for Chesterfield in League Two whilst on loan from AFC Bournemouth.
Today he is playing for the team sat at the top of the Premier League table and is representing his country at the biggest stage in football.
Aaron Ramsdale said: "It was the summer, I was in Ayia Napa watching the first game at Linekers bar with my friends. That was crazy because H [Harry Kane] scored the last minute header. That was an eventful night.
"I watched one at a fanzone in Weymouth and then the Colombia game I was with my group of friends me and Ben White know."
World Cup 2022 takes place in Qatar from today, Sunday, until December 18 - a week before Christmas.
It kicks off at the Al Bayt Stadium today when the hosts take on Ecuador in Group A.
England will be facing Iran on Monday, November 21, with kick-off at 1pm then the team will face USA on Friday, November 25 at 7pm before taking on Wales on Tuesday, November 29 at 7pm.
