I haven't been living in Weymouth long, and I am getting on a bit, but I must say the people of Weymouth are a cut above.
We received six cards welcoming us to the close where we live. And the other night I went to The Belvedere pub for the music.
Coming out, as I pondered whether to go home or go to town, a group of teenagers passed by and one stopped and said to me, ‘You alright, chap?’ I said, ‘yes thanks’. ‘Ok’ he replied, and they all went off to town.
Now isn’t that so good, it goes to show our youth of today are okay, after all. Well done you chaps!
And it’s so nice to see so many people of all ages walking along the promenade hand in hand. It must be the sea air here.
