A prison officer is to go on trial facing charges of misconduct in public office.
Bethany Jane Williams-Brian, 22, appeared before Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday, December 16 to enter pleas.
She denies two counts of misconduct in public office and will face trial next year.
It is alleged that between July 1, 2021 and August 12, 2021, whilst employed at HMP Portland she wilfully neglected to report a prisoner - Connor Hemborough - for possessing a mobile phone.
It is also alleged that, between July 27 and July 30, 2021, she communicated with the mother of Hemborough and passed on confidential information relating to him.
The case was adjourned with a trial scheduled to take place on Monday, July 10 2023.
