Fire crews were called to tackle a kitchen blaze in Poundbury.
At around 5.50 pm on Saturday, March 18, crews from Dorchester, Weymouth and Maiden Newton worked to try and get the rapidly developing fire under control after smoke could be seen from outside the property.
A spokesperson from Dorchester Fire Station said: "At approximately 17:54 crews from Dorchester and Weymouth Fire Station responded to reports of a kitchen fire in Poundbury.
"On arrival, smoke was issuing from the property and a breathing apparatus team was deployed to try and get the rapidly developing fire under control. A further fire appliance from Maiden Newton Fire Station was sent to assist with this incident.
"A total of 4 breathing apparatus wearers, 2 hosereel jets and thermal imaging cameras were used to extinguish the fire.
"We would like to thank members of the public with their patience while we dealt with this incident."
