A two-vehicle crash closed Dorchester Road in both directions.
A car has overturned following the crash.
At around 8.00 am this morning it was reported that two vehicles were involved in a collision.
The road was closed from Littlemoor Road to St Nicholas church as drivers were asked to find alternative routes.
Police, ambulance and fire services rushed to the scene.
Dorset Police spokesperson said: " We were called at 8.03 am to report of two vehicle collision in Dorchester Road in Upwey
"Reported one vehicle is on its roof."
At around 9.30 am the road reopened to the public.
