They're creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky and they're heading to Weymouth Pavilion.

Wessex Musical Theatre (WMT) is staging The Addams Family at Weymouth Pavilion as its first full production post Covid lockdown.

It can be seen at the theatre from Wednesday, May 31 to Saturday, June 3.

A WMT spokesman said: "WMT is both proud and excited to be performing its first full production post Covid lockdown, and The Addams Family is the perfect choice for this highly talented society.

"Under the superb direction and choreography of Martyn Knight and musical direction of the talented Alistair Dean, this local society has pulled out all the stops to bring this masterpiece in comedy to Weymouth Pavilion."

WMT prides itself in staging shows as close as possible to the professional performances seen at London's West End theatres.

For this particular musical, the company has undergone a gruelling rehearsal schedule with extra direction from Paul Jones, Assistant Director, and Anne Marsh for additional choreography tuition.

Chairman Stella Brading said: "Being the most expensive show we have staged to date, The Addams Family is proving to be an absolute hit with our members and cast. I am sure this will equate to the audiences once again, and that everyone coming to watch will leave on a high."

A spooktacular show for all the family, The Addams Family A New Musical Comedy can be seen at Weymouth Pavilion Theatre from Wednesday, May 31 to Saturday, June 3 at 7.30pm. There will be a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
