Dorset Police is now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward regarding the crash.
Sergeant Chris Brolan, of the Dorset Police Roads Policing Team, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone who has captured it on dashcam to please come forward as this might assist our investigation.
“Also, I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding during the extended road closure.”
