PORTLAND Port welcomed back an American cruise liner which sailed into Dorset early this morning (Sunday, June 4).
Norwegian Dawn arrived into Portland at 6.10am after travelling overnight from Southampton.
The vessel had 2,332 passengers on board and is set to depart at 5pm tonight for She will depart at 5pm for the Irish town of Cobh.
US-owned liner Norwegian Dawn was built in 2002 and has 14 decks.
This is the ship's fourth visit to Portland this year as Dorset welcomes an increased number of cruise ship visitors to the region.
Last year, high winds prevented the liner from docking at Portland.
Norwegian Dawn flies under the flag of the Bahamas and measures 295 metres in length.
It was refurbished in 2021 and can also hold more than 1,000 crew members.
