Vandals smashed the windows of a shed in a town park.
They also damaged tiles on the roof of the shed, which is in Pageant Gardens, Sherborne.
A police spokesman branded the crime 'a mindless act'.
The incident of criminal damage took place on Wednesday, June 7 between late afternoon and early evening.
The Sherborne Police spokesman said: "The gardens are a loved addition to Sherborne, used by many members of the community and their families.
"This was a mindless act that affects those using this facility."
