Four vehicles have reportedly been involved in a crash on the A35, leaving part of the road closed.

At around 7.47 am it was reported that four vehicles had collided on the A35 in Morden.

The road has been closed in both directions between B3075 Chitten Hill and Wareham Road.

Drivers are being urged to find alternative routes.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 7.47 pm of a four-vehicle collision on the A35 near Morden Park Corner."

"Officers have attended and road closures have been put in place. One person is being treated by the ambulance service but we do not have a condition update at this time."

At around 10.52 am police confirmed one person was taken to hospital for treatment to a suspected injured ankle.

The road was cleared and was reopened shortly after 9.30 am.
