Bridport’s Carnival Princess has been crowned.
Millie Frampton, 13, wowed judges and took the hotly contested title of this year’s Carnival Princess.
She will sit on the Royal Float at the Carnival procession on Saturday, August 19.
Millie will be accompanied by her two attendants, Delilah Rayner, 11 and Ava Hook, aged nine.
A spokesperson for Bridport Carnival said: “All three impressed the judges with their sense of fun, inclusiveness, creative ideas and ability to chat to others.”
The Royalty Contest took place at the Ivy House at Groves Nurseries on West Bay Road and applicants took part in interactive activities on the day, with the applicants also having the opportunity to speak with organisers.
Dance teacher Teresa Grinter taught all the entrants a routine that they enjoyed showing everyone.
The official Young Royalty crowning will take place on Sunday, August 13, at the carnival’s Teddy Bears Picnic, on the Millennium Green from 11am - 3pm.
