AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy suffered multiple injuries after falling from a rope swing along the coast.
Wyke Coastguards attended the incident yesterday afternoon after receiving a call for help.
A spokesman for Wyke Coastguard said: "We were tasked at 13:05 along with Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team to the Underbarn after an 11-year-old fell from a rope swing.
"He fell a considerable distance suffering multiple injuries.
"Once stabilised he was placed in a vacuum mattress and then with difficulty, stretchered over rough terrain to an awaiting South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust ambulance for further treatment at Dorchester A&E."
