Gain an insight to the world of buddhist monks in Dorchester this weekend.

Tibetan Monks from the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery will be at the Corn Exchange, today, Saturday July, 15 and tomorrow, Sunday July 16.

They will open a magical window on to a world of reincarnation and Buddhist mysticism which has inspired audiences in theatres and festivals throughout the world.

Free Mandala public access sessions are being held on Saturday at 10.30am, 1pm and 4pm, while paid for workshops on topics such as sand mandala making and prayer flag printing will be held at 11.30am and 2.30pm.

At 7.30pm, the monks will stage a Wisdom and Insight performance. Tickets are on sale now from Dorchester Arts.

Sunday, July 16 will see more Mandala public access sessions at 10am and 1pm and there will be more paid for workshops at 11.30am. 

The weekend will end with a Mandala destruction ceremony at 3pm, including a procession to the river and back.
