THIEVES stole chainsaws and hedge trimmers from a workshop in Dorset.

The incident happened in the early hours of this morning (Friday, July 21) at 12:50am in the village of Holwell, near Sherborne.

Police said that a residential garage workshop had been burgled with thieves breaking into the building in Holwell Drove.

They stole five chainsaws, three hedge trimmers, a cordless sander, and other small tools.

The thieves left pushing the stolen items in a wheelbarrow which they later abandoned at the side of the road near the scene of the crime at 2.10am.
