POLICE have released an image of a man they would like to identify after a van was stolen from a driveway in a village near Dorchester.

The incident happened at about 8pm on Wednesday, July 5 when a white Nissan e-NV200 van was stolen from the driveway of an address in Martinstown.

Dorset Police officers attended and conducted a search of the area, but the vehicle was not located.

A further report was received on Wednesday, July 12 that the van had been found unoccupied in the Bridport area.

Police have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to talk with to help with their enquiries. 

Police Constable Glen Caddy, of Dorchester police, said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into this vehicle theft and we have obtained a CCTV image of a man we would like to identify.

“I would urge anyone who recognises him to please come forward.

“I would also like to ask anyone who was driving in the Martinstown area around the time of the theft to please check any dashcam footage they still have stored to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
