Dorset's best and worst GP practices rated in survey

The GP Patient Survey has revealed Dorset's best and worst doctor's surgeries in 2023, according to residents who rely on their services.

Dorset GPs have scored higher than the national average on patients' overall experience of services, with 80 per cent responding good or very good.   

Nearly 9,000 people took part in the survey, which provides vital feedback on the quality of care and service of general practices.  

Of the participants, 96 per cent had confidence in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to.

Meanwhile, 88 per cent found their receptionist helpful or very helpful. 

Corfe Castle Surgery, Milton Abbas Surgery and Cern Abbas Surgery all took the spot for the top three practices rating 'good' or 'very good' in overall experience. 

The surgeries rating the lowest with 'very poor' scored on overall experience were Wyke Regis & Lanehouse Medical Practice, Royal Manor Health Centre and Christchurch Medical Practice.
