THE air ambulance landed in a Weymouth playing field to reports of a person in cardiac arrest.
The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA) aircraft was spotted in Williams Avenue, Wyke Regis at about 6pm on Friday, July 28.
A spokesperson for the air service said that it was called to attend a patient in Weymouth who was reported as having a cardiac arrest.
The patient was airlifted to Royal Bournemouth Hospital for further treatment, they confirmed.
Witnesses also reported seeing a land ambulance in attendance at the scene on Friday, before the helicopter took off towards the hospital at about 6.45pm.
"Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance attended an incident in Weymouth on Friday, July 28 to attend a patient who was reported as having a cardiac arrest," DSAA said in a statement.
"The patient was airlifted to Royal Bournemouth Hospital."
