Two people were rescued after injuring themselves on a popular walking route.
Coastguards and paramedics were called to two separate cases of people who were injured on the South West Coast Path.
Coastguards from Portland and Wyke were called at 5.15pm to a male on the SouthWest Coast path at Moonfleet Manor.
The man had a dislocated hip and was carried to an ambulance by coastguard teams and paramedics.
Both teams were then redirected to PGL at Osmington to assist paramedics with a stretcher carry of a person who had suffered a lower limb injury.
The person suffered the injury whilst walking along the South West Coast path close to PGL.
Earlier in the day at 12.25 the coastguard teams were called to a person who had been pulled from the water.
The casualty was taking part in an organised sailing event in Portland Harbour.
The teams were stood down whilst en route as the casualty had made it ashore and was in the care of event paramedics.
