A man shouted abuse at McDonalds staff and refused to leave the restaurant when asked, it is alleged. 

Police were called to the Jubilee Retail Park restaurant in Weymouth after receiving reports an aggressive man was refusing to leave.

It is reported that the man was verbally abusive to staff members and made threats toward them, as well as shouting homophobic abuse.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his mid 20s, 6ft tall and of slim build with short, dark hair.

The incident took place at 2.25am on Thursday, August 24, and police are now appeaking for witnesses to come forward. 

Police Constable Michael Golder, of Weymouth police, said: “Dorset Police does not tolerate hate crime and we will do all we can to identify the person responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of McDonald’s around the relevant time and recognises the man from the description given to please get in touch.”
