'Orange rust' has been reported seeping from the sand in a pollution alert on a popular Weymouth beach.

The coastguard team found orange rust-like fluid - that smelled like iron - seeping out of the sand, and have passed the information along to Solent Coastguard.
A spokesperson for Wyke Coastguard CRT said: "Tasked at 2.39pm to investigate reports of pollution on Sandsfoot Beach. We located some orange rust/iron-smelling fluid seeping out of the sand.
"Details were passed along with photographs to Solent Coastguard."
